Perinatal Support
Perinatal mental wellbeing is very important to us and we prioritise parents (including dads, same sex couples and main carers) who are either expecting a child or have a child up to one year old on our waiting list. This means they are likely to have reduced wait times for treatment.
Perinatal support is defined as:
- Individuals who are, or have been, pregnant within the last 12 months.
- Primary caregivers who have a child under 12 months old.
- Partners of individuals within the perinatal period.
Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service can offer telephone or video call appointments for your therapy if this is easier. We also have face to face appointments available across the city. Additionally we have a fully online course via Silvercloud which is tailored to the Perinatal period, this can be accessed 24/7 and you do not need appointments to attend. Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service also delivers Omnitherapy online CBT based video courses. With sessions that deal with a Postnatal Depression, Managing Stress in Parenthood and a wide range of other videos. No referral required and you can access the videos straight away.
