We offer a wide range of proven psychological support so you can get the help that’s best suited to you.
LMWS offers help, guidance and support for common issues, such as anxiety, stress and depression, so you can get the help that works for you. Our treatments are available for those aged 17 and over who are registered with a Leeds GP.
Omnitherapy
We have a range of CBT-based self-help online video courses, each designed to address a specific mental health problem from stress and anxiety, to postnatal depression and bereavement.

Online Group Classes
We offer a range of free online courses and one-off classes that you teach practical methods to manage different mental health issues. Run by expert facilitators, the classes help you understand how you’re feeling and improve your wellbeing – and you can register directly online.

Talking Therapies
Following an assessment, we may offer you one-to-one or group therapy to assist with mental health conditions ranging from anxiety and panic to phobias and trauma.
These include:
- Guided self-help
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Interpersonal Psychotherapy
- Counselling for Depression
- Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

Primary Care Mental Health (PCMH)
Some people benefit from a different approach with their mental health difficulties and are referred to the PCMH team within LMWS. The primary aim of the team is to support GP practices and their staff in managing the Mental health of those patients where an existing mental health service within Leeds has not been identified to meet their current needs. This may include offering advice to the practice or engaging directly with patients
Our PCMH staff aim to understand your difficulties and take steps to move forward. You can find out more information at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust – Primary Care Mental Health.
PCMH work with patients for up to 6-8 sessions and offer a range of remote and in-person sessions, as well as a range of groups.
Referrals can be made to Primary Care Mental health team by your GP or other professionals
Perinatal Support
During pregnancy and in the first year after birth, women and their partners can experience a range of mental health difficulties. LMWS provides a wide range of support for new parents.

One way or another, work can have a huge impact on our health and wellbeing. That’s why we have a team of Employment Advisors who can assist anyone receiving therapeutic support at LMWS.
