SLEEP WELL WORKSHOP
Next steps: a member of our mental wellbeing team will email you within the next few days to book you on to the next group that is convenient for you.
Our Sleep Well Workshop is a one-off workshops focusing on improving the quality of your sleep. Sleep is a huge part of our health – we spend a third of our lives sleeping (ideally!). It is vital to take steps to get back on track when it becomes a problem and starts to impact on day to day activities.
The workshop uses a CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) based model which is commonly used and well researched. CBT encourages you to build an awareness of your own problem and learn coping strategies to address your sleep problems.
Attending this workshop will help you to:
- Understand the role of sleep
- Identify sleeping problems
- Plan in sleep hygiene tips
- Learn to relax
- Manage your worries
- Retrain your sleep
The workshops will take place at a location close to the city centre. The workshop will last 2 hours and will include a comfort break in the middle of the session. The workshop will be delivered in a class environment (up to 40 people) and some interaction will be encouraged; however there is no expectation that you must get involved.
