Unhelpful Thinking in Low Mood
Do you find yourself having unhelpful thoughts about yourself, the world, or the future? Do your negative thoughts cause you to feel low in mood?
We all experience thousands of thoughts a day. However, when we begin to have lots of unhelpful negative thoughts, such as thinking the worst-case scenario will always happen, or ignoring positive aspects of a situation and focusing only on the negatives, it can greatly impact our mood and how we see the world, leading to more unhelpful thinking.
We are offering a 1-hour session to explore unhelpful thinking and the effects this can have on our mood and how we can start to think in a more balanced way. The session will cover:
- Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) self-help techniques
- Identifying the role of thoughts on our emotions
- Identifying negative thinking styles
- How to challenge unhelpful thoughts to come up with a more balance alternative ways of thinking.
This class is open to anyone age 17+ who is registered with a Leeds GP. Book your place below.
