About Us

The Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) partnership is proud to unite some of Leeds’ most prominent mental health providers, each bringing extensive expertise and experience in delivering health and wellbeing services. The service aims to truly integrate primary care and psychological therapies alongside a range of third sector partners in order to meet the diverse needs of the people of Leeds. Our services are available for those aged 17+ who are registered with a Leeds GP.

The Service is made up of two separate teams; the NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression team (formerly known as IAPT) and the Primary Care Mental Health Team.

NHS Talking Therapies (NHS TT)

You can refer yourself directly into the NHS Talking Therapies (NHS TT) team if you are aged 17+, registered with a Leeds GP and struggling with a mental health problem that you would like to receive therapy for. There are a range of different therapies available within the service, including online, in person, 1:1 and in groups.

Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMH)

The PCMH team do not accept self-referrals, but you can ask to be referred into their team by your GP. PCMH offered a range of short-term supportive interventions to help manage symptoms of mental health difficulties. This can be offered online, in person, 1:1 and in groups.
