LMWS Joins Leeds United on Matchday to Bring Wellbeing Support to Fans

January 13, 2026

Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) is proud to partner with Leeds United on an upcoming matchday to make mental health support more accessible to fans, especially men, across the city.

On Saturday 17 January 2026, when Leeds United take on Fulham at Elland Road, LMWS staff will host a wellbeing stall outside the East Stand. Fans can stop by for information, leaflets and a friendly chat with mental health practitioners.

Matchdays bring thousands together, but behind the excitement, many still face stress, anxiety, low mood, or life challenges. Our presence at Elland Road is a reminder that support is always available.

Visitors can pick up wellbeing resources, ask questions, or scan our QR code to access free NHS talking therapies.

This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to supporting the health, resilience and wellbeing of the Leeds community.

Annalisa Haines, Operational Manager at LMWS, said:
“For many men, talking about how they feel can be one of the toughest challenges they face. Our presence at Elland Road is about breaking down those barriers and reminding fans that support is available for them and the people they care about.”
“We are grateful to Leeds United for the opportunity to reach out to fans where it matters,” Annalisa added.

Jade Brown, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Lead, stated:
“Using the power of football, we can start conversations around mental wellbeing. Bringing Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service to Elland Road makes support more visible, accessible, and part of the matchday experience.”

Look out for the LMWS and Leeds United pop-up outside the East Stand for support and information.
